Installing as an App (PWA)
MyPlot is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can install it on your phone or desktop and use it like a native app — with a home screen icon, full-screen mode, and offline access to cached content.
iPhone / iPad
Safari → Share button → Add to Home Screen.
Android
Chrome → three-dot menu → Add to Home screen.
Desktop
Chrome or Edge → ⊕ install icon in the address bar → Install.
Why install it?
- Opens full-screen with no browser chrome — more garden space on your screen
- Faster to launch from your home screen than typing a URL
- Cached content available offline (dashboard, plantings, plant library)
- Works just like a native app without a download from an app store
Install on iPhone / iPad (Safari)
- Open MyPlot in Safari (must be Safari — other browsers on iOS don't support PWA install).
- Tap the Share button — the square icon with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Name it "MyPlot" (or anything you prefer) and tap Add.
- The MyPlot icon now appears on your home screen. Tap it to open full-screen.
Install on Android (Chrome)
- Open MyPlot in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu (top right) and select Add to Home screen.
- Alternatively, look for a small install prompt in the address bar (⊕ icon).
- Confirm — the app installs and an icon appears on your home screen.
Install on Desktop (Chrome or Edge)
- Open MyPlot in Chrome or Edge.
- Look for the install icon (⊕) in the right side of the address bar.
- Click it, then click Install.
- MyPlot opens in its own dedicated window, separate from your browser tabs.

Tip: Load the app at home on Wi-Fi before heading to the allotment. The key pages will be cached and available offline for viewing even without mobile data.
