Weather data source
Weather data comes from Open-Meteo, a free, open-source weather API. It provides forecast data from global weather models and historical data from the ERA5 climate archive. No API key or account is required — it works automatically based on your property's coordinates.
Weather history
Available at Reports → Weather history. Shows a daily log of:
  • Maximum and minimum temperature
  • Rainfall (mm)
  • Humidity (%)
  • Wind speed
  • UV index
Records go back up to 3 months, populated automatically when you add a property via the ERA5 historical archive. The table is paginated at 31 days per page.
Weather backfill
When you create a new property with coordinates, MyPlot automatically backfills up to 3 months of historical weather data from the ERA5 archive. This gives the AI briefing historical context from day one.
If backfill is missing or you want to re-run it for a property, it can be triggered from the admin panel under Admin → Weather backfill.
How weather feeds the AI briefing
The 7-day forecast is sent to the AI when generating your weekly briefing. It informs the Weather this week, Watch list (slug risk in wet conditions, mite risk in dry heat), and Watering sections. The more accurate your location, the more relevant the advice.
